Bookmarking Service

Bookmarking Service is really needed?
Com on, let's be serious!

Yes, I know, I know, you're here because you need bookmarking. Your website is new so is impossible to see people bookmarking your site naturally. Hence... you have to do it yourself.. isn't it?
It's the hell of a job... ugly, boring and time consuming. And to get Google attention you really need a lot of social bookmarkings and social networking links. I mean.. a looot! Hundreds if possible.

So, you have two solutions: 1. do it yourself for free! 2. use an social bookmarking service. 3. don't do it at all!
So let's take it one by one:
1. Start doing it yourself! Honestly, if you are a patience person and you have plenty of time... really.. do it yourself! Nothing compares with something done by your own hands! Really, really!

I hope you do realize that this blog is created to encourage you to use bookmarking service and is king of mask advertising. I admit it!
But I will be honest with you! If you can do it yourself, with all the time involved, it will be a wonderful job, SO DO IT! Is better than any bookmarking service in the world, and I am not kidding at all!

Start with the biggest: Google Buzz, Yahoo Buzz, Delicious, Digg, Mixx, Folkd, Stumbleupon, Friendfeed, Diigo, Mister-wong, Plurk, jumptags and so on (these are the biggest players). After an extensive search you will notice that they are over 500 bookmarking sites that worth to bookmark. Than start with social networking like: Facebook, Twitter, Google Profile, Yahoo Pulse, Aol, Netlog, Myspace, Tagged, Hi5, Tumblr and many many others.
There is a total of minimum 700 sites to bookmark. Let's do the math: 10 minutes for account creation and personalization & 1 minute to bookmark X 700 site = 128 hours of work. If you work 5 hours per day, you should finish it in 26 days (weekends included :) Let's say generally: one month! If you have this time, really really do it! It will help you tremendously and will be a job that no bookmarking service company can do it in this world, because is all for you and you are fully involved.

If you have other people, friends, relatives to help you, that's even better.
Bookmark as many pages of your site as possible and to avoid account suspension for self advertising, just bookmark other staff related to your site (could be other websites of yours, or news & things like that). Now your bookmarking accounts will look natural and trustworthy.
So, this is the correct and THE BEST way to do it!

Now... if you don't have one month for this on your disposal and nobody else to help you, you really have to save few tens of dollars for a social bookmarking service. So the next chapter:

2. Find a bookmarking service that fit your bookmarking needs! They are plenty of companies if you are searching on google with these keywords:
bookmarking service
bookmarking services
social bookmarking service
bookmark service
The best ones are the fist ones that are listed naturally on Google. They reach there by doing a good bookmarking service to them-self. So, if they reached on first sports, that must be a good reason to believe that they use a good bookmarking algorithm that pumped them up on Google. So, use them, instead of many advertisers that fill your screen in the right part of the Google page (using AdWords). Many are scammers and those that are honest are not experienced since their own website is not listed on Google (so what king of bookmarking is that?).
Bookmarking is meant to get you valuable back-links to your website, that make your site to go on first pages. If a bookmarking service is not on first two pages, is not worth it to use it.
The biggest advantage of using a bookmarking service is that they use a lot of accounts and bookmarking to so many customers that your next website bookmark will look natural to all bookmarking sites and they are never deleted for self promotions.
Consequently, the idea is very simple! Now, play a little and try to find a service that offer unique bookmarkings to at least 700 sites and have decent prices.

3. Don't do it at all? This really isn't an option. In fact is really bad idea. In Google SEO documentations  (the recent one from 2011) is stipulated that websites that fight for keywords with competition, they need these steps:
- a good website optimization (where your keywords are mentioned frequently, interior of your website has the keyword name on the link, web page title, description, tag clouds and links to your own interior pages with your keywords)
- frequently updated content and 100% original
- back-links coming from social bookmarking, social networking, web 2.0 bookmarking (optional), article marketing, video marketing (optional, but necessary if your keyword has huge competition), blogs (your own), blog comments, forum messages with signatures.
You can't skip bookmarking in any of this cases!! In fact they are so important, that you have no chance to get on first pages of Google not even for keywords with little competition!

What I can do for you is:  social bookmarking, social networking and web 2.0 bookmarking (a specialized service on bookmarking). They are all equally important, even if  social bookmarking comes on fist position as priority. Is not like you would do it yourself (as I said, is the best solution for you), but I can assure you that our team is very professional, we have tens of accounts every month (some are ages old), they are never too many bookmarks and we use different countries for account creation and bookmarking and they really are natural bookmarking for your site that really matters.
So, that's my story regarding the whole idea of bookmarking and bookmarking services in general and if is (or not) necessary for you.
Use your own due diligence and decide what's best for you.

Sincerely,
Lawrence Aidin, BS Founder
